Lid Completion

I have some final touches and then apply the hinge and it's finished! This has taken way longer than expected mainly because my current job required a lot of my time.

The first step is to glue up a wide mahogany board, level flatten it and begin to CNC each layer like my sample board.

Notice the circle cut in the lower right corner. As I was leveling, I decided to cancel the CNC project since I achieved the depth I was looking for earlier than expected so I hit the "STOP" button and the spindle abruptly dropped cutting this circle!

Here I am layering the top with clear epoxy.

I also decided to recut the forks to make the coloring lighter yellow.

And here is what I did to cover up the lower circle that the "stop" created. Not perfect but since this is my first one, I expected to have some mishaps. I can't perform unlimited test runs, at some point I have to get going with the production piece.

Here I flush trimmed the lid to the base cooler.
