The polishing begins!

With the level sanding completed, that puts me 75% done!

If you zoom in, you will see zero dents, voids or marks on the humidor. This is the only way to achieve a high polish because light reflects off of every tiny imperfection.

Here is how I systematically step through the sanding process. I take a few days and always start on the same side and rotate through the same way every time and to keep track of the sanding grits, and I write it down after completion.

This is a better angle to show what 3,000 grit looks like as it delivers a perfectly flat and low scratch surface. This gives me the best chance to have a successful polishing phase. Notice the powder-like surface.

Next week the polishing begins! It usually takes 4 hours split up in 3 sessions to complete. Three sessions are needed because my polishers heat up the box and require cooling.
